Who We Are
RUWOSO (Rural Women Social Organization) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering women, girls, and vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, through sustainable social and economic development initiatives. The organization primarily works with rural communities, where women often face significant barriers to education, economic opportunities, access to financial services, land ownership, and participation in decision-making processes
RUWOSO believes that empowered women are the foundation of strong families, resilient communities, and sustainable national development. By strengthening women’s capacities, protecting their rights, and creating equal opportunities, the organization contributes to reducing poverty, promoting gender equality, and improving the overall well-being of communities.
Working in partnership with government institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, community leaders, and the private sector, RUWOSO implements innovative and inclusive programs that improve livelihoods and promote social justice.
